Description: Holland Falls: The trail to Holland Falls may be the most heavily used trail in the Swan Valley. The spectacular waterfall and panoramic views of Holland Lake with the Mission Mountains range as a backdrop are well worth the hike.
East Holland Lake Connector: Many day hikers will walk the first two miles to Holland Creek, have lunch, and return the same way. It is in the last one-half mile before reaching Holland Creek that this trail offers the most outstanding panoramic views of Holland Lake and the Mission Mountains.
Directions: The trails are easily accessible. Turn on to Holland Lake Road, between mile markers 35 and 36, Highway 83. The road is distinguishable by a rustic sign directing you to Holland Lake Lodge. Follow the gravel road four miles, past the boat launch, campgrounds, and entrance to Holland Lake Lodge. At this point the road terminates in a large parking area that can accommodate 20 vehicles. This is a parking area for several trailheads. Not all the people using this parking area will be hiking to Holland Falls. Nonetheless, you will recognize this as one of the busiest trailheads along the Swan Front. The trailhead serves as the embarkation point for Holland
Falls, Sapphire Lake, Necklace Lakes, Upper Holland Lake, and the Bob Marshall Wilderness.*
